…Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,… (Matthew 28:19)

Question 2: Who is the one true God?

Answer: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The command of our Lord to make disciples of all nations is unequivocating. But make disciples of whom? The one true God of course. Throughout the history of the world man has been seeking the answer to the question of “who is the one true God?”. Jesus is the triune God’s ambassador to Earth who has spoken on behalf of the divine will.

Our God is of the same subsistence, existing not apart from the other persons of the godhead, but dependent upon this same essence. Yet we see through the Scriptures that each person of the Trinity is unique in their role as much as they are the same in essence. Understanding the Trinitarian nature of our God is only possible by those who are indwelled by the Spirit, saved by the Son, according to the will of the Father. If our theology of God is built upon the Trinitarian foundation then so should our lives.

Your understanding of God reflects in how your view of life. When you view God’s majesty and grandeur in proper respect to your depravity and limitation you view the world as a gift from the creator that should be treasured because your Holy God has given it to you. In Genesis we learn that the world was formed through the Son, by the Spirit, and according to the Father’s plans. Likewise, God has saved you and sent you according to His will, through His Son, and by the Spirit. Amen
